My collection of graphic works.
Used a variety of digital software tools (PS, AI, AE, Blender) to generate imagery and create compositions.
Layout done in a website format.
After many years of not understanding the struggles I was facing each day and jumping through different diagnoses that I didn’t identify myself with, I was finally diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in September of 2019.
Being able to name my struggles, made me able to communicate them clearer to other people. Most importantly, it gave me a sense of relief knowing that what I have always experienced had an explanation.
One of the main concepts of this project is linked with the different techniques used to produce its content: digital collage and composition.
Digital collage brings a new dimension of creating content: transcending the limitations of analogue methods. The core of this definition has to do with the ability to have a non-destructive approach to creating content. In digital design studies, it is taught to be as least destructive as possible while creating a design. That can be achieved by using the right layer and masking settings on software like Photoshop. Where at the beginning it might seem easier to cut out a layer, resembling the analogue act of cutting a paper with scissors.
One of the best parts of the development of technology in creative fields is that artists and designers are able to generate new paths of working that are, in many ways, reversible and non-destructive. This allows more extensive and generative creation.
